Why did you start your business?
I love making things from scratch and sewing became a hobby that I really enjoyed. It was a way for me to express myself. And when I started sewing things for others, the look or expressions they have on their faces gave me so much joy. So, I started my business to not just showcase my talent but to share the joy or feeling that came with every piece.
Your favourite item to create?
The Toiletry Bag.
Its challenging and fun to make. It can be used as anything you want it to be, whether it be an actual toiletry bag, pencil case, essential bag, etc...
If you didn't have your handmade business, what would you like to be doing?
I would just be working my 9-5 job and spending time with my family.
Little bit about yourself/life/family/hobbies?
I am from Papua New Guinea, specifically from a mix parentage of Morobe (Yalu and Butibam), Madang (Ulingan), and East Sepik (Tangori) and I am the 2nd born of a family of five. I was born and raised in Morobe Province, in my dad’s village, Yalu.
I am a mother, which is the greatest accomplishment in my life. Nothing comes close to the joy of being a mother. It's tough since I also work a 9-5 job as well. But with the help and support of my wonderful partner, we make it work.
My hobbies are sewing, crocheting, cleaning, and playing sports (which I can’t seem to find time to do these days). They may seem like work, but I enjoy them as they are stress relieving and calming. I’m not really the social kind of person, I enjoy the privacy of my home just chilling with my little family.
